A superb little standing vintage alarm clock from Japan. It was made by Ginza, a Japanese clockmaker sometime in the 70's I presume and has two (2) jewels as stated on the front. It is quite unique even to its tulip pedestal standing siblings due to the shape of the body and its gradient blue face with shiny metallic dots in place of numerals. The indicators are also metallic and have a glow in the dark section for those who are curious to know how many hours they've got left to sleep. A great object for fans of retro atomic style and any alarm clock collector.
Maker: Ginza, Japan
Era: 70's
Style: atomic tulip
Measurements:
height
18 cm
7 inches
Condition:
Operationally in working condition, although fully wound it only runs for about 3 hours - probably an easy fix for a clockman. There is some damage on the bottom where the pedestal meets the body, which has been fixed up. The only visible part is the crack coming from the middle (image 4). The latter is reflected in the price. Other than that, no chips or other broken parts.
