This beautiful vintage Antares Capri typewriter is a piece of Italian design from the 60's. A rarely seen portable vintage typewriter and highly collectible, especially in this combination of colours and of course it displays wonderfully and works wonders as a stylish piece of vintage home decor.
This typewriter was popular to such extent that MERCEDES pruduced them for a while under their own brand and a licence. It was called Mercedes Portable and aparently:
"Whether you are a Student, Doctor, Tradesman, Butcher, Baker or Candlestick Maker as long as you do write, you need a Mercedes Portable"
"Unique faux leather grain carrying case, doubles as a vanity case or overnight bag."

The Antares is in very good vintage condition. The only damage that needs to be mentioned is a worn out case. The item itself is fine.
