Very retro and atomic piece of ceiling lighting straight from the space age era of the 70's. It has a very large elliptical brown and white shade, which quite obviously resembles a UFO and gives it a unique look to the time of mid century modern and futuristic designs. Beautiful piece.
These lamps are still incredibly popular due to their attention seeking nature but also great ambience and soft light projection. This particular one was produced by Meblo, Yugoslavia, as part of a Guzzini collection, an Italian lighting manufacturer famous for its 60's 70's atomic lighting designs. The two studios used to partner in production and sales with collaborative branding during their prime time. We had quite a few Meblo / Guzzini lamps in the shop so far, but this one really is one of a kind.
The lamp shade is made of heavy vintage plastic and brown plexi glass. It requires a standard E27 Edison screw bulb.
