This is a beautiful and iconic mid century / Eames style space age kinetic sculpture with orange, brown and beige kinetic balls floating on metallic wires. This eye-catching sculpture responds to touch with a gentle swaying movement and looks supercool and hypnotic. I particularly like the orange band detail on its spheric base.
The base is black and orange plastic as well as the coloured balls. The sculpture was made sometime in the 1960's or 1970's.
Measurements:
cca. 20 cm
cca. 7.5 inches
Condition:
Circa 40 years of age and still in good vintage condition. All the balls are in tact. The only thing to mention are a couple slightly bent wires and some minor ware. Nothing that might get even close to disturbing the looks of this great atomic piece.
