Indeed a very nice record player in brown plywood from 60's Yugoslavia by Iskra (more info below).
The record player works with 45 singles and 33 big records and folds up as a very nice little suitcase with a handle.
The player is switched on by shifting the arm away from the record and has an automatic off switch when the record is finished. It has a European plug works for 220V but you can use it worldwide with an adapter , plays 33/45 and 78 rpm records. It comes with a single build in mono speaker.
Iskra ("Spark") was an electronic equipment manufacturer in Yugoslavia, established in 1946 in Kranj, Slovenia. The company was home to one of the most well renowned designers of it's time, Davorin Savnik, who designed the famous Iskra ETA Telephone, which received numerous international awards for exceptional design.
Measurements:
approx.
w x d x h
40 x 26,5 x 15 cm
15,7 x 10,5 x 6 inches
Condition:
Good vintage condition with minor ware on the plywood. Player works but the sound is not brilliant since it only has one mono speaker and old needle.
