Really cool vintage wall clock from Yugoslav manufacturer Gorenje.
It's made of transparent grayish plexi glass frame metallic face and a glass face cover.
It is battery operated and therefore convenient, elegant and a modern piece dated back to the late 1970's. Condition
Gorenje, [like Iskra] is still a successful company today is one of the great brands of Yugoslavia, producing high-quality, well-designed household items, which were almost unknown to the rest of the world until recently.
This is a classic Yugoslav nostalgia piece, with its great design and excellent quality. As noted by Prof. Jonathan Woodham, much of socialist design was written-out of 20th Century design, despite is absolutely relevant innovation and quality. As time has passed since 1989, more and more interest in this "hidden" design culture is emerging. The more you see and learn about it, the more you like and want it.

Good vintage condition, some ware of use but still keeps good time. The hinge is not functioning, but once it is closed, the glass stays perfectly in place. It takes a standard 1.5V 'C' Type battery.
