A beautiful red vintage clock / wall clock by Iskra (more info below). A truly unique item from 80's Yugoslavia due to it's color and modernist number font and dials. It has a red hard plastic body, a glass cover and a quartz mechanism. Stunning vintage clock indeed.
This stylish domestic appliance was designed for Iskra. Iskra ("Spark") was an electronic equipment manufacturer in Yugoslavia, established in 1946 in Kranj, Slovenia. The company was home to one of the most well renowned designers of it's time, Davorin Savnik, who designed the famous Iskra ETA Telephone, which received numerous international awards for exceptional design.
This is a classic Yugoslav nostalgia piece, with its great design and excellent quality. As noted by Prof. Jonathan Woodham, much of socialist design was written-out of 20th Century design, despite is absolutely relevant innovation and quality. As time has passed since 1989, more and more interest in this "hidden" design culture is emerging. The more you see and learn about it, the more you like and want it.

In excellent vintage condition and working order. It takes a standard 1.5V 'C' Type battery.
