Very retro and atomic piece of ceiling lighting straight from the space age era of the 60's and 70's. It's very large elliptical orange and white shade, really resembles a UFO and gives it a unique look to the time of mid century modern and futuristic designs. In my opinion, what makes this lamp special is the small pointy detail, which actually holds the lamp together.
The lampshade's height is adjustable as it hangs on a rolling extendible chord, which makes it a great vintage ambient light for a room. It gives off wonderful, soft and soothing light when lit and brightens the room beautifully, which, besides it's retro atomic looks, is the reason why these lamps are still in high popular demand.
The lamp shade is made of heavy vintage plastic with a pole going through the middle and keeping the two parts tgoether. The original chord roller is labelled made in Italy and works well.
A great piece of Italian home decor, indeed from the times of Eames, Panton and Colombo. Ah, she's a keeper, so to speak ;)

Condition
good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. I have to mention a molten area on the shade's white bottom half though (image 4), presumably from a bulb with excessive wattage. The roller might need a bit of attention also. It works, but if released all the way down, it is sometimes hard to roll it back down.
