Very retro and atomic piece of ceiling lighting straight from the space age era of the 60's and 70's produced by Meblo, Yugoslavia. It's large orange shade with a chrome fixture really gives it a unique look to the time of mid century modern and futuristic designs, which will attract a heap of attention and every one will be asking about it. Believe me on that one ;)
The lamp gives off wonderful, soft and soothing light when lit and brightens the room beautifully, which, besides it's retro atomic looks, is the reason why these lamps are still in high popular demand.
It was produced by Meblo, Yugoslavia, probably as part of a Guzzini collection, an Italian lighting manufacturer famous for its 60's 70's atomic lighting designs. The two studios used to partner in production and sales with collaborative branding during their prime time.
A great piece of Euro home decor, indeed from the times of Eames, Panton and Colombo.

This groovy Yugoslavian heat lamp was made by Elra of Škofja Loka in Slovenia. While they were typically used for industrial or farming, they are ideal to warm the legs in a space which is a little chilly in winter - the low frequency rays don't make skin or garments very warm file a radiator, but offer a gentle penetrating warmth. Now, who wouldn't like that on a cold winter's day.

This one has such great angles in the stand, rubber feet and and the bulb angle can be adjusted. It comes with 250W heat bulb [220V]. If the heat lamp is too much or if you are in the US, you can always replace the bulb with a PAR lamp [or any other threaded bulb] and use it as a groovy retro floodlight. It would also make a great desk lamp with the right bulb.

This particular vintage flip clock / alarm clock is incredibly mod and eye catching - from the heart of the 70's space age Eames / Panton era design and very unique. It was designed and launched in 1971 by Bosch and is the only one ever made by them. This design is timeless.

Vintage flip clocks are Indeed a wonderful example of European inventiveness. The story of the flip clock begins in Italy with the founding of the company Solari di Udine in
1948. Remigio Solari, a self-taught engineer, fitted alphanumeric characters and text onto
metal (later plastic) flaps attached on a wheel mechanism, enclosed it within a glass display
and the flap display was born.

The Solari board, the name by which it would become known as, was first installed at Liège
Guillemins station in Belgium in 1956. Never before had information - or even time - been
displayed in such a fashion. It was a hit and became an industry standard in rail and air
terminals worldwide.

The black button at the back is the alarm switch.

This piece appears to have an influence from the famous Slovene architect Jože Plečnik, who often used such cruciform construction.

This unique piece of 70's vintage retro electronics is a clear favourite in the desk fan department and a must have for all you design lovers. The desk fan was designed in 1971 with an ingenious concept of using a spinning slotted cylinder to produce a surprisingly strong gust of cool air. It was designed by Weiss and Greubel under the design directorship of Dieter Rams - the founding father of "Good Design" and one of 20th century's most influential industrial designers.

The HL 70 Desk Fan is also included as part of the permanent exhibition of outstandingly designed modern products at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

The desk fan itself is housed in orange plastic casing and has a clear plastic guard with the famous Braun logo. It is mains operated and has a standard European 2-pin plug, original wiring and is fully functioning.

A beautiful red vintage clock / wall clock by Iskra (more info below). A truly unique item from 80's Yugoslavia due to it's color and modernist number font and dials. It has a red hard plastic body, a glass cover and a quartz mechanism. Stunning vintage clock indeed.

This stylish domestic appliance was designed for Iskra. Iskra ("Spark") was an electronic equipment manufacturer in Yugoslavia, established in 1946 in Kranj, Slovenia. The company was home to one of the most well renowned designers of it's time, Davorin Savnik, who designed the famous Iskra ETA Telephone, which received numerous international awards for exceptional design.

This is a classic Yugoslav nostalgia piece, with its great design and excellent quality. As noted by Prof. Jonathan Woodham, much of socialist design was written-out of 20th Century design, despite is absolutely relevant innovation and quality. As time has passed since 1989, more and more interest in this "hidden" design culture is emerging. The more you see and learn about it, the more you like and want it.

A very slick and modern retro table lamp / desk lamp / office lamp from the 70's or early 80's. It is unusual in design and very modern for that time with exceptionally rounded corners and quite a heavy base.
